One of the most commonly shared type of posts, video
is huge on Facebook. Video also autoplays on Facebook's mobile apps, which is
irritating. Here's how to stop Facebook automatically playing video. Also see: 13 best Facebook tips and tricks.
How to stop Facebook videos
automatically playing: Android app
Step 1. Open
the Facebook Android app and open the Settings menu. To do this, tap the icon
with three horizontal lines toward the top right of your News Feed (not the
icon with three horizontal lines and a silhouette; this opens Facebook Chat). Like PC Advisor on
Facebook.
Step 2. Once
in the Settings menu you'll be able to see a link to your profile page,
friends, events, photos, pages you manage and more.
How to stop Facebook videos
automatically playing: iOS app for iPhone and iPad
The same Video Auto-play menu is found in iOS as it
is in Android, except you'll find it in a different place. Rather than looking
for a Settings menu within the Facebook app you should open your iPad or
iPhone's Settings menu and then scroll down to and select Facebook. Now choose
Settings and, under Video, select Auto-play. You'll find the same three
options: On, Wi-fi only and Off. For a step-by-step walkthrough with pictures

iPhone app.
