MBGLASU 2015: LASU MOST ANTICIPATED EVENT

After so many unanswered questions being so voluminous, the Downtown Promotion in conjunction with the Lagos State University Students Union  has concluded plans to host the second edition of The Most Beautiful Girl in LASU. Although, if testimonies from the maiden edition is what to go by, a new MBGLASU might be delayed till next year  because the  students still hold the maiden edition experience so dear to their heart. The maiden edition had performances from Lil kesh, Kabbar, Akpororo, MC Ajele, etc and was hosted by Boy Alinco. The VC Prof. John Obafunwa who graced the occasion confessed it is the best social event in the history of LASU.
As mandatory it is for beauty queens to touch their society through community project, the MBGLASU 2014 Queen Idowu Oluwatomisin took it upon herself with the support of Sofy and her Agency (Downtown Promotion) in campaigning against the global scourge called RAPE that has eaten deep the society. The Queen went to some selected government secondary schools in Lagos State teaching and educating young teenagers on how to avoid the menace known as Rape. There was also a solidarity match against Rape from LASU College of Medicine Ikeja to the Deputy Governor’s Office, Alausa Ikeja. The second phase of the project is scheduled to come up in late July with a Solidarity Walk to the State House of Assembly and visit to some secondary schools in Lagos with the support of Sofy.

The second edition is expected to be bigger, more entertaining, appreciate beautiful and intelligent ladies and promised to be mind blowing. The event is tagged ‘Beauty With A Purpose’ said the Downtown Promotion boss Ayorinde Abiodun S. (Effizy) in a publication with the objective to discover a woman of exceptional beauty that would impact her immediate society, with a view to be an ambassador of decency, diligence and of good conduct, a role model to the younger ones, thus creating social interaction among the students and the aim to rebranding LASU through social event.
The new Queen to emerge come September 10 would go home with a brand new car and a trip to Calabar among other gifts while the 2nd and 3rd would cart away Freezer, LED Television, Mobile phones and other prizes.
