The much awaited album of gospel music sensation, Miss Modupeola Omolola has finally dropped! The talented traditional praise singer, songwriter and the First Lady of Sapphire Music, titles this sophomore effort as “PURE PRAISE”. The seven track album is loaded with daring styles and ambitious musical patterns ranging from contemporary gospel worship to gospel highlife, Jazz etc.



The Osun state born vocalist started her musical career professionally in 2007 with a debut album titled “GRACE AND GLORY” in 2014 to her credit. The GRACE AND GLORY album featured hit bangers like “IFE MI” and “ERU RE BAMI”. The latter track went on to win the young songtress critical acclaims and cemented Modupe’s status as a ‘serious gospel artiste with a voice the very best would envy’. The graduate of Physiology has since graced many churches across the nation upon invitation, blessing lives with her unique gospel Ewi and Ijala chants.

“Kikida Iyin”, the hit track in the PURE PRAISE new album is a track to watch out for. Modupe not only didn’t spare the track the usual rich Yoruba traditional musical diction her fans have come to identify with her, but also employed melodious tunes beautifully embedded with percussion that would ensure this track spend a long time on your replay list. The young beautiful lady simply outdid herself on “Kikida Iyin”.

Recently, Modupe was quoted in an exclusive interview as admitting God to be the source of her inspiration. According to her,’the (gospel) music industry is beyond having just talents, skills or good voice texture. If the Spirit of God is absent, it becomes mere entertainment. Gospel artistes MUST be carriers of God’s presence’. It is indeed no wonder why the presence of God is undeniable in “PURE PRAISE”.
