Bootcamp: Twitter for Human Rights
The Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies hosted a Bootcamp on the use of Twitter for Human Rights. This is session is part of MIGS' new project: setting up a Digital Mass Atrocity Prevention Lab to study how new technologies, including communication technologies, can be used to prevent mass atrocities and genocide. We gathered a group of 20 people for a hand-on session. Some of them being completely new to Twitter we showed them why world leaders, diplomats and policymakers, politicians, activists, NGOs and organizations are using it.
